The times I have been here felt safe for a busy DC subway. There is usually a security officer in the box on the platform top and of late the National Guard has had a heavy presence in the area. This felt very safe after hours moving around here with ample lighting and CCTVs in force.

Clean and very convenient for visits to the National Gallery East / West buildings and other museums on that end of the National Mall.

The station was too much crowded during the cherry blossoms festival. Passengers are bumbling around and I feel sorry for staff that had to work at that time.

If you're visiting DC, it's a good starting point to tour the Mall & Capitol grounds. Usually it is less busy than Union Station or Navy memorial. DC police memorial is just above the station and definitely worth a visit. Capital One arena is also 10 minutes walk. 2 exits could be a little confusing, but just read signs posted near lower level escalators. You will need exit to DC courthouse.

As the name it mentions it this station located on the red line it serves the court. Just an average communing station between Chinatown and union station.
