Woodland-Normanstone Terrace Park is a picturesque enclave of tranquility and natural beauty in the heart of Washington, D.C. This hidden gem offers a peaceful retreat from the city’s hustle with its lush woodlands and charming stone bridges. It’s a place where residents and visitors alike can enjoy a leisurely stroll, a quiet read, or a moment of reflection amidst the serene landscape. The park’s winding roads lead to unexpected delights, including the start of the Dumbarton Oaks Walking Trail, making it a favorite starting point for nature lovers and hikers. With its proximity to the neighborhood’s stunning homes and the city’s cultural landmarks, Woodland-Normanstone Terrace Park is a cherished urban sanctuary.

This is a nice and quiet little access trail to get to the dirt Rock Creek trail and a little farther on, the paved Rock Creek bike/running path.
