I was impressed by how long the park stretches, providing plenty of paved trails that are perfect for a long walk, a jog, or a peaceful bike ride along the water. The trees provide a lot of shade, and there are several open areas and playgrounds that make it a great spot for families to gather or for a weekend picnic. It feels like a very community-focused space, and I loved seeing the local artwork and the efforts made to keep the natural creek area looking its best. It’s a very peaceful place to clear your head and enjoy some fresh air, and the historical significance of the area adds a special layer to the experience. For anyone looking to spend some time outdoors and enjoy a bit of quiet beauty, this park is a fantastic local resource.
Attended The Summer Peace Jam brought together by DC Music Summit and Washington Parks and People. It was an uplifting experience with several local vendors.. fun for kids and dope musical performances.
Took my granddaughter here today. It's a nice little park with a splash pad. She likes it. It was kind of muddy in some areas. Other than that, it is a nice place to bring the little ones
Its a great lil gem, but the area is definitely not ideal for family fun. The equipment is clean and well maintained,.except one swing. The water feature is awesome on a hot summer day. The park(s) are AWESOME but the constant nefarious behavior that occurs makes it intimidating and unusable 🥺
Great place to picnic. Was cleaned up a lot thanks to community efforts and help from local nonprofits. It has seen quite the transformation even in just the last ten years. Crazy to think this was the park where the legendary Marvin Gaye grew up spending much of his time in.
