The bathroom can get a little out of control during the summer because our beautiful children are everywhere and I imagine it can be hard to keep up. However, the machines being out of service more than four months is simply unacceptable. If the parts are no longer available, replace the machines or move them out and provide more floor space. I do appreciate the staff as they clearly work hard at keeping the use of what machines are available fair. Not to mention, they keep reminding people not to sit on the machine while scrolling on their phones and reminding them not to drop the weights as if we are at “hard core” gym where it seems everyone grunts.
Glad I seen my old case worker from MAXIUS and had a brief detail conversation about the workforce payments that help me succeed with paying my medical dip and certification certificate to get back on Assistantance for my 15wks daughter! Thank you Mr.Campbell for the opportunity to be a hard worker with success!
The staff at this recreation center are extremely unprofessional. According to the posted schedule, the center is supposed to close at 9:00 PM from Monday to Friday. However, they often close earlier, sometimes at 8:00 PM and other times at 8:30 PM, without any clear explanation. For example, three days ago, a staff member wearing a hat triggered a false alarm and asked everyone to leave the building at 7:55 PM. When we asked if there was an actual emergency, he simply said, "No fire, just leave." The way he said it was so disrespectful and embarrassing to see people like him work in customer service. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. Setting a false alarm just to close early is misleading and disrespectful to the people using the facility. I hope the administrators of this recreation center take this matter seriously. Staff should be held to basic standards of professionalism and integrity. Unfortunately, many of the employees come across as unmotivated and dismissive, which reflects poorly on the entire facility.
Edgewood Recreation Center is a newly-renovated recreations center in Northeast's Edgewood neighborhood. Here's why it's worth a visit: 1) Amenities: There's a lot to do inside and outside. On the outside, there's a massive field, a track, playground, a garden and basketball courts. Pre-pandemic, the inside has a gym, classrooms, etc. 2) Views: There's an area with benches with beautiful views of nearby Trinity Washington University. This recreation is new and super nice. It's worth a visit!
