Beautiful building, beautiful pool, rude staff! If you want to go swimming then join a summer camp. The rest of us are not welcome. Somehow the camps reserve the pool (which is fine) the website doesn’t tell you that the pool is reserved. Today, we had 3 DC homeowners who pay taxes refused entry 5 minutes after opening. If the pool was reserved, then change public hours to let the public know. Unfortunately, another place that looks nice, but actually is not that accessible for DC residents.

The pool building is nice with clean locker rooms (bring your own locks) and showers, but unfortunately they’ve made one side of the lap pool extremely shallow (

Great community pool with extended hours and consistent coverage. The pool is best for families with children or lap swimming. It can get crowded quickly during peak hours/season. It’s not quite a full size pool.

My experience at **Reservoir Park Aquatic Center** was excellent! Despite being crowded on the weekend, the pool was **clean and well-maintained**, the staff **friendly and professional**, and the atmosphere **inclusive and respectful**. The front desk attendant (a warm, friendly, and experienced gentleman) not only strictly enforced the rules, but **listened**, asked thoughtful questions, and allowed my kids to practice in the adult area after confirming they were good enough to swim. This **trust-based communication** made our experience even more enjoyable. Highlights: ✔ **Water was clear** even during peak hours ✔ **Diverse crowd** (including many Hispanic families) who followed pool etiquette ✔ **Friendly staff** who were patient and attentive and didn't hover in the pool ✔ **Flexible policies** - pool toys allowed, relaxed and safe atmosphere This is a place **not only to accommodate diversity, but also to actively embrace it**. No one is singled out, and everyone's needs are met quietly. This is a rare public pool that is both **regulated** and welcoming - we will definitely be back! **Who's it for**: Families, recreational swimmers, and anyone who values **cleanliness and friendliness** over fancy amenities.

Beautiful new pool in the Reservoir Park Recreation Center in Bloomingdale. I was surprised how small the pool is, given how much land the site has to develop and the demand in the neighborhood for a clean, indoor pool. Still, it’s bright, airy and clean. The women’s locker room needs more benches and areas to change kids. Also, the two swimsuit dryers did not work. The pool area needs benches as well for people to put towels, etc. on. But overall it’s great, a welcome addition to the neighborhood, and we will swim there often!
