Rosedale Library is a small public library, but a might one! Attached to a recreation center and pool and with a D.C. monument-themed playground, the library has a small parking lot. Walk inside to one large room with books, an area for children, and computers with free printing for cardholders. (You can print up to 20 pages a day for free.)
This is a small but reliable public library. It stays cold so bring a jacket and the computers are fast.
This is our go-to library even though we live equal distance to others - the staff here are amazing! They are so welcoming and helpful, and I’ve never had any issues with the many of books I’ve put on hold. I feel that the librarians do their best to keep peace within the walls and allow a place of refuge like libraries were meant to be for youth; unfortunately for some, their shenanigans results in them getting kicked out and the front doors being locked (pro-tip: get a librarian’s attention through the window and they’ll let you in). I would love to see more support for the librarians in this area so they can focus on what they do best and and allow others to bridge a gap with the youth who don’t have a place to go. I also like that’s it’s located right next to the rec center and playground
Nice pool. Clean facility.
