About
The Kutz Bridge carries eastbound traffic on Independence Avenue SW over the northern point of the Tidal Basin. It is named in honor of Brigadier General Charles Kutz, who served in the Corps of Engineers and was a member and chairman of the Washington, DC, Board of Commissioners. Traffic on the bridge can impair enjoyment of the view, but the span allows pedestrians a great view of the Tidal Basin.Inscription:Kutz BridgeCompleted 1943 for the National Capital Parksby the Dis

View all on Google →Kutz Bridge is a very popular location each year during the National Cherry Blossom Festival. The bridge, on the National Mall's Tidal Basin, is a bridge to the main festival staging area, located in the vicinity of the MLK and Roosevelt Memorials, as well as the Japanese Stone Lantern area. You can get some great panoramic views of the Tidal Basin from this bridge.
Great view of the Tidal Basin, Jefferson Memorial, and Washington Monument from one place. Sufficient shoulder for pedestrians and cyclists.
Driving not recommended during Cherry Blossom Festival.
Nice and safe for people walking especially in Cherry Blossom season Nice spot to take a wonderful photograph about DC such as Washington monument, Thomas Jefferson Memorial…
Amazing Experience!! Must Do..
