We rode by and took a few photos. Lots of construction going on with barricades and workers cleaning and moving things. Looks like once it is finished and the barricades are down that it will be a nice place to visit. You can see workers in some of the attached photos.

I visited Freedom Plaza for a special event — the unveiling of the 250th anniversary commemorative stamp in partnership with the USPS, U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, and U.S. Marine Corps. The stamp ceremony was a powerful tribute to our military's legacy and history. The location itself was fitting — right in the heart of D.C. with iconic views of the Capitol and surrounding landmarks. The plaza was well-organized for the event, and it was meaningful to see representatives from the armed services come together with the Postal Service for this momentous occasion. A great public space for civic events and national celebrations.

This year's Emancipation Day was outstanding as expected and the crowd grows larger every year. The parade, concerts, (Musical Artists, GoGo Bands, Chanta Moore and Anthony Hamilton), DJ Kool and fireworks for FREE. It's a great way to celebrate our culture by uplifting all people through the entertainment that brings joy and fun.

I've visited Freedom Plaza twice. It's a great spot in Downtown DC for gatherings and skateboarding, with a perfect backdrop for photos. If you're visiting the city, I recommend stopping by for some pictures. Locals are likely already familiar with it.
