About
In addition to its striking neoclassical design by architect John Russell Pope, Constitution Hall is noted for an important event that never occurred there. In 1939, Constitution Hall was at the center of a Civil Rights crisis when the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), an all-white organization of descendants of Revolutionary War soldiers, denied famous African-American opera singer Marian Anderson use of its concert hall.

Well I can say from sitting in those tiny seats for a long period of time, they are not comfortable. If you are not a skinny person you will have a hard time sitting in them. They are out dated and made for skinny people. For the amount of capacity there's not enough bathrooms for males or females. No handicap bathrooms either. There is no parking, I suggest you take a taxi. It's a beautiful place, just very out dated.
This is a stunning venue with a rich history, hosting over half a million events each year. This Historic Building offers excellent sightlines, an intimate concert atmosphere, and historic architecture. The sound quality is perfect for concerts and events. From rock legends to choirs, they have a diverse schedule. Near the Metro stations (Farragut West and Farragut North). Parking limited, very challenging, so consider public transport or arrive early.
Amazing venue. But no parking within 6 huge city blocks for night time shows. Parking on the street is paid, free after 10 pm. The meters will give you 3.5 hrs max for evenings for under $8. So do the math. Show up at 630 for Street parking, pay then go to 7pm or 8 pm show.
Iconic home of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution! Newly renovated venue, comfortable seating, great views of the stage. They have hosted many local graduations, Jeopardy! and the National Spelling Bee. Must see!
