About
Twelve "bas-relief" or shallow sculptures line the wall on the north side of the World War II Memorial's entrance. They illustrate the American expereince in the Atlantic theater of war, from the United States' Lend-Lease policy of providing aid to friendly countries before Pearl Harbor to the US Army meeting the Soviet Red Army at the Elbe River in Germany, an event that signaled the ending of the war in Europe. View all on Google →I just love coming to see Theater here . The shows are always great and the staff is beyond friendly . Atlantic really does a great job of welcoming a diverse range of Theater goers . Accessibility is alive and well here with elevators & a nice ramp outside . They also have a gala pro for those that would like to read captions during a performance . The seats for wheelchairs /walkers provide a nice view of the stage and the staff is happy to help with any accommodations you might need- just give them a call . Btw they also are having an audio described performance of grief camp on April 30 for those who are blind or vision impaired . We love you Atlantic & always look forward to our visits . Thank You ❤️and See You Soon
The theater has a nice snack and beverage bar on the lower level. The venue was very intimate, with every seat in the theater having a great view of the performance. The performance of Buena Vista Social Club was exceptional. The band and the vocals reminded me of the music of the 80s and 90s. I must highlight the choreography which was some of the that I have seen in a production. I highly recommend this show. The show has been extended.
The Atlantic Theater is a lovely place. It’s not big but it’s beautiful. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We felt very welcomed. We saw “Anatomy of a suicide”, written by Alice Birch and directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz. It was awesome, really enjoyed every second. We own the TodayTix Lottery.
This theater is a hidden gem of NYC! It was adorably beautiful, very well maintained and easy to navigate. Grateful that the play Elyria brought me here! I do hope I get to return for another production in the future.
Great experience. Intimate theater in a very cool converted church space.
