About
Originally the U.S. National Museum, the Arts and Industries Building of the Smithsonian was one of the founding museum institutions in the nation’s history. A superb example of World’s Fair architecture of the early 1900s, the Arts and Industries Building has housed some of the nation’s most important historical artifacts.

View all on Google →The building is AMAZING architecture-wise, but there's not much at all inside. And there are no restrooms, cafes, or water fountains. The building was closed for nearly 25 years so I was just happy to see the inside.
Renovation mostly complete. Large, lovely space for events. Architecture is very nice, particularly the roof
This Saturday afternoon, I came to the Smithsonian National Museum of Asian Art to celebrate Lunar New Year 🏮✨ It was truly interesting to learn more about Korean, Vietnamese, and Chinese cultures. Each culture has its own unique beauty, yet they all share the same joyful and festive New Year spirit. Such a lovely and memorable afternoon!
Beautiful exterior architecture and surrounding gardens, sadly the interior seems to need restoration
Keep in mind this is a flexible space for the Smithsonian. They don't have any fixed exhibits the interior has not been restored but they do pop up season exhibits and activities.
